  • LEATHER WORK : leather shoes known as jootis are produced in jodhpur and Jaipur, often featuring or Nate embroidery (kashida).
  • TEXTILES : Rajasthan  is renowned for its blazing textiles.  Traditionally,  all rajasthan textile colours were derived from natural sources such as vegetables, minerals and even in sects.
  • EMBROIDERY : Today, Bikkaner specilies in embroidery with double stitching, which results in the pattern appearing on both side of cloth. 
  • CARPETS & WEAVING : In the 19th century Maharaja Ram singh 2nd of Jaipur established a carpet factory at the Jaipur jail and soon other jails introduced carpet - making units.
  • POTTERY : Today, different regions of Rajasthan produce different types of pottery and most villages in Rajasthan have their own resident Potter.
  • WOODWORK : The paucity of wood in most parts of rajasthan,  the tradition of woodcarving dates back many centuries.
